COGEN has developed a recredentialling process which allows the option of accumulating continuing professional development points over a three year period( the five year period will be phased out by the end of 2014) by a variety of methods including (but not limited to) attendance at conferences and study days, presenting at educational events (orally or by poster), participation in approved education courses, critiquing nominated journal activities or writing for publication. These activities do not only update knowledge but they also develop the individual nurse professionally.
